*Scotty Keyes pinned Outlaw Jason Rose
Keyes who is an NGW alum was impressive in his return to the ring after being away for quite a while. Don't know where Rose trained at. Rose did a strange backbreaker where he did not drop to one knee and just threw Keyes against his knee while standing up with him. Keyes (7/7/7) Rose (2/3/-2)
*Corbin Blaze pinned Tyler Priegel
The Dodgeball Superstar who comes out of the Quad Cities didn't use the dodgeballs during the match which might had been a plus...but what he did use was a bunch of variations of the backbreaker...to the point it got annoying to our group, I know he does more than that. Blaze held up surprising well against Priegel even though he's very much a rookie in the sport. Blaze (6/6/7) Priegel (6/7/4)
*The Future Donovan Ruddick pinned Wuha Nation
Just about everyone around the St. Louis area knows The Future and what he's capable of, he's 6'9" and ranked in the PWI 500 so you know he's got the total package. Wuha Nation is another graduate of Mr. Hughes & Elix Skipper's WWA4 school and this gentleman was well built and matched Future's power. Best tryout match of the evening. Future (9/8/8) Nation (9/8/8)
*Johnathan Greshem pinned Bucky Collins
This was a match featuring two men who made the roster via tryouts last year. Just an extra treat for fans.
*Kaige Kuttler pinned Reed Bentley
We were waiting for a crappy tryout match and this was it. Both men came from the Livewire Championship Wrestling promotion out of Kentucky. Neither man seemed able to hang and were a bit sloppy. Back to training they go! Kaige (3/0/0) Bentley (2/0/0)
*MVP Johnathan Napier pinned Temple Rain
This match went better for these two men than the prior tryout. Temple even got teased with a Purple Rain chant. Match seemed to have ended early with a pin that looked like a three count but was called 2-7/8ths without a kickout. Dunno if they're IWA-MS ready but lets go to the scorecard! MVP (6/6/6) Rain (5/4/5)
The winners of the tryout matches were brought back out for a battle royal where the winner was booked for Saturday's show.
*Corbin Blaze won a 5-man battle royal. Kaige got dumped by Future first, Future got eliminated by three guys, MVP was out next then Blaze eliminated Keyes to win it.
*IWA-MS Light Heavyweight Champ Ryan Phoenix pinned Ric Brutal
Brutal is another NGW alum coming out of a few years of inactivity. This actually turned out to be something you'd had seen at NGW years ago. Brutal put in a good performance for his first match back though our opinions were mixed on him. Brutal (6/3/7)
