- There were plenty of big stories coming out of this past Saturday's event. The biggest perhaps was the result of the highly anticipated "Loser Must Retire" match between former partners and best friends - Devon Moore and Drew Blood. After a hard fought, and very emotional battle, Moore scored the victory after putting Blood thru a pane of glass. After the contest, the Notorious Duo once again shared a final embrace. Moments later, the CZW locker room joined with the fans to send Drew Blood off with an emotional farewell, and a thank you for all his contributions to both the company, and the South Philly wrestling scene. From everyone in the Combat Zone locker room, Drew will be missed greatly.
- Another huge story to come out of "Home Sweet Home" was the successful debut of the "1 in 8 Chance" matchups. Tyler Veritas and Sabian won their respective opening Four-Way's for the right to meet later in the night. In that contest, Veritas pulled off the relative upset, sending the "Blk Jeez" to a very dissapointing defeat, and elevating Veritas to a position of great leverage as he now has the right to a title shot at any place, and any time. When will "HD" cash in, and who will be his opponent? We will find out... sometime....
- CZW Owner DJ Hyde addressed the faithful, and delivered a few big news updates regarding the latest happenings in the Combat Zone. First, DJ Hyde announced that effective immediately, Eddie Kingston has left the company. As a result, the tag team titles have been stripped, and will be put up for a grabs in a Tag Team Tournament which will begin in August, and ultimately culminate with new Champions being crowned at December's Cage of Death spectacular. The first team to qualify, per their win over Drake Younger and B-Boy is former champions, "The Best Around".
- DJ Hyde's other big news update was the announcement of CZW's upcoming debut in New England. - Following Hyde's announcements, he was brutally and viciously attacked by the Switchblade Conspiracy's Sami Callihan and Joe Gacy. The aftermath of the ambush can be seen now in an CZWrestling.com exclusive, where the CZW owner appears to officially lay the groundwork for the main event of August's South Philly return. According to the video, it seems as though DJ Hyde and his partner Greg Excellent will meet the Switchblade Conspiracy on August 14th in a "Tangled Web 3"!
